Shame on Bill Ford and Ford family. Disgraceful, soul-less greed. And shame on Biden and the gov't granting Ford a loan as they eliminate jobs, worse yet, they off-shore jobs.

Sorry you got laid off. I got the ax last year, end of April. Was able to find work in about 4 to 5 months. Have had two contract jobs which unfortunately ended about 3 weeks ago, so I am looking again.
One thing I will tell you; it was much better working for the other two companies. Even though they let me go (in both cases it was budget related; one even tried to keep me) they were far better to me in that process. In both cases, I got to work out the pay period so I got two weeks pay in both paychecks - both did me solid. Ford never does that with contractors, so they?
Moral of the story is two fold: one, you will find work again. Two, not every company is like Ford; some actually care and value their employees and do the best they can for them, even under difficult circumstances.
