Atlanta, Dallas Geozone Changes

Anyone have any news on the company possibly moving Atlanta and/or Dallas from an N2 to an N3 Geozone classification?

It's being raised as part of Stankey's generous relocation package for those who wish to be part of the program here.

As has been stated, Geozone is not based on cost of living. It is based on cost of labor.

And... why? Because the cost of living is rising? Isn't it also rising in other zones? They don't need to change zones, they need to raise wages to keep with the inflation, everywhere.

What’s total cr-p is being moved to a lower Geozone than what you are in. Dallas is still N2, contrary to the clueless poster above.

"He-l, we can't even get a vending machine put in our office."

A bajillion years ago, ours didn't have one either. So one guy plugged in a mini fridge in his cubicle, stocked it with drinks and put a jar on top. Worked well; I don't think he ever got stiffed. Even other shifts paid for what they got. After the initial start up, the jar was used to restock, so it didn't make any sense to steal unless it was the last Coke you ever wanted.

Dallas is an N3 when I checked not long ago. Atlanta is an N2 though it costs a lot more than Dallas.

Funny part Houston is a N3. Feels like DFW and Houston have similar economies.

Geo zones aren't based on cost of living. They are based on cost of labor.

Dallas and Atlanta are not at N3 levels just yet. In the future maybe. It costs more to live in Miami than Dallas or Atlanta and its still an N2 as well.

That's a silly question. Anything that may cost a penny is an absolute NO.

He-l, we can't even get a vending machine put in our office. I guess they're still negotiating profit sharing so every time we want to buy something to drink they can get a cut.

It will actually be a new classification, N0, in order to compete with Manila and Bengalaru.
