The company has liquidated every real assets other than employees. There’s absolutely no way AT&T is going to operate with another 30% staff reduction. None whatsoever.

GET REAL, people...bankruptcy is not on the table!
We should go into bankruptcy and get rid of the malcontents. Then we would be a leaner and better company.
Bankruptcy is out of the picture, but being acquired is not. They are making things leaner, even if the work is not getting done. All upper management cares about is their bonuses and golden parachutes. the rest be damned
Bankruptcy is not likely - too much recurring cash flow to pay creditors and debt holders. You’ll see AT&T gets its bond rating lowered eventually and perhaps a dividend cut to $0 in a few years as debt is refinanced to higher interest rates. That’s the worst case I believe.
Bankruptcy - Not a chance.
The most likely outcome will be break-up and sale of the company
Imagine being an investor who lurks through a companies layoff thread to try and get inside trading information, only to discover your analysis resulted in a very poor decision.
Hint:you’re not very good at this.
Any bankruptcy judge will not accept ATT's application for bankruptcy! It makes too much money every quarter! So, good luck with that premise!
No chance…
Really? Company is pulling down $120B a year! Just a little financial restructure and rightsizing will turn the ship around.
AT&T is making money and reducing expenses. The future is looking bright.
A telecom company does not need that many workers. Right sizing the company and getting rid of unneeded workers.
I'm out. I want that 52 weeks of pay if surplussed. It would like it better if the old timers declined the offer and I am "forced" to take a year and a half pay. This Union "Dreg" will never see you again.
Yes, down vote it early and often. Whhaa, I don't get it so no one else should. Whhaa. Go cry to your fhucking wife.. New home mortgage is running around 6.7%. RELOCATE! Sorry there sport.

We’re already stretched to the breaking point, that’s for sure.
The sky is falling.
I'm out in less than 2 weeks. I'm ok with that.
