The 25% number came from an interview with Farley back in February where he said he had 25% more engineers than Ford’s competitors. You can find articles about the interview.

This is a new strategy of communicating to employees directly. Last year it was an email in the morning. This year each LL1 scheduled a quick 10-minute meeting. HR (Jennifer W) told the leadership to make it more personable and treat employees like family. I'm glad they are trying something different. This is NOT easy.
Who said 25%? We were told that "some" salaried employees in both the US and Canada will be separated this week via virtual notification, but no specific number was mentioned.
