Of course Model E can be cut. Model E needs to replace DF with a more recent Tesla defection. DF is paid way too much to be wasting our time revisiting things that everyone has benchmarked several years ago.

Given the poor quality software that Doug Feld's team is creating, I am not surprised at the cuts. The real test is if he himself is held accountable. This observation comes from a position of direct knowledge of how bad the code base is. Hiring like drunken sailors has a price.

Without stability, Ford really has nothing to offer prospective employees but salary. They had better be prepared to pay top salaries because if you want instability and chaos, you can get that anywhere, and a lot of those places have MUCH nicer weather.
