I was let go this morning from modele even with a special skills specification. How long has it taken others who's been in this position to find another job?

MI is I believe 20 weeks, max $362 a week. Your unemployment benefits may be reduced in any week you get severance pay. Unless you and your employer agree otherwise, your employer can choose when to allocate the severance payment. It can be in one week or over more weeks. It does not matter when you actually get the severance payment. Your benefits will be reduced in the weeks it is allocated.
It depends on what job you want and the compensation. If you need a fully remote job with high pay, it might take longer. But last time i was laid off, took me 6 weeks total. So i am expecting 4 to 8 weeks as average.
What state are you in and i think Severance pay will impact when you can start collecting as well. you have to look up in the State Website like Dept of Labor. In Michigan they call it Michigan Works and look up the weeks and max amount. The Max Amount is generally abysmal.
