Just found out that my LL5 was cut. The guy worked onsite at manufacturing facilities for 60+ hour weeks during multiple critical launches.

2 main things I get from this
(1) When it comes down to it, our LL5s are workers just like us and are just as dispensable to the JF and BFs of the world. Yes they make more annually than we do, but they are not a part of the ownership class that is making money off of cutting our jobs, and leaking layoffs to the press before they even notify employees to try and game stock prices.
(2) This company will cut you regardless of the work you’ve done for them. They will milk you for every dollar you’re worth then kick you to the curb. They’ll require you to work absurd hours for weeks so you can’t see your kids, then lay you off without a second thought. We should be treating Ford the same way — get what we can from them, then get out, ASAP.

LL5 Salary: 130,000-250,000
GSR salary: 36,000(min grade 1)-150,000(max grade 8)

JF Income: 20,000,000
BF Income: 18,000,000

I get not liking your boss, no one does, but what side do y'all think the LL5 should be considered?

I’ve heard rumors that most GSRs and LL6 will be notified closer to end of day. Company logic being they want to avoid employee gossip and chatter.

Anyone else hear anything similar?

Stick together is all fine in spirit, LL4 are compensated 2-2.5x a high GSR8/LL6 but rarely get their hands dirty in doing the day to day stuff to deliver. But when they let folks go, it's the lower level folks who march to orders, not the ones giving them and making a bunch more money. How about LL3/LL2 who have had a bunch of recalls and quality issues within their teams? Is anyone held accountable?

If s/he was truly fired then I'd find the biggest snake of a lawyer and file lawsuits like crazy. That's pure BS

if your work creates value for the company, you are not part of the ownership/executive class no matter your "LL" status. we're all workers down here... time for us to stick together

About time LL5+ were impacted. Not wishing ill on anyone, but this company is grossly top heavy. What happened to the BCG 1:6 ratio for manager:direct report? Now they have GSR reporting to LL4+.

I've told this site for weeks that NO ONE is safe.

There will be a lot of this, as well as many more at the LL6 and GSR level.
