I see people giving strange reasons for WFH. Ex: Not feeling well / undisclosed personal emergency (most common), pet is sick, maid left the work, spouse is sick, roof just collapsed, no gas in the car , plumbing work ongoing , internet fluctuating, no power or heat, neighbours grandparent died , bad hangover, spouse lost the house keys, kids meeting at school, lost my spectacles , etc etc etc .

That was commonplace at Intel even before the pandemic.
My coworker one works from Vietnam and the other from India.
