Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Anyone has a clue of fighting for Ford severance package

0-5 years only one month of salary paid for those people being laid off. That’s is sooo cheap
Any group actions that is planning to put pressure for Ford?
Thank you

per LL2's comments, weed out time. SIRP's are 100% political and has nothing to do w/performance and expertise. All those ones with 20+ yrs w/pension are fair game. LL's are only SITP'ed if LL2 or 3 does not like them. At UnSE in 2022 Chief Eng got rid off as many Tech Spec as she could because all of them challenged her technical depth. She got promoted to Quality Director and all TS's who challenged her are out. All those TS were top notch engineers. Now, the new Chief Eng. created new TS positions, to create sections for inverted deltas who are lost in space, nice W but totally clueless. There is a difference between inverted deltas who are technically sound and those who are just bench warmers, unfortunately the decent technical ones are not promoted. Many of the clueless ones should have been fired already but they found the way to protect themselves. SIRP is a political circus indeed.

But, GM also capped it at 9 months. It was not open ended.

This forum is full of inaccurate and down dangerous misinformation. Ford has never offered one month per year in the US (and that's 35 years of experience talking).
The people that were near 30 years that went got lawyers all were top achievers and or recently promoted.
I highly doubt any lawyer is going to take your case having 0 to 5 years experience. Salaried employees are all at will employees which means no guarantees of future employment.

Any speculation for pensioners and when to seek an attorney with respect to time in service? If laid off with 27 years of service, would an attorney take the case? Or do you have to be closer to 29 years?

20+ years got 9 months
It is not linear though. Under 10 ten years are all <=3 months
Worst for 0-5
BTW the layoff is political, not skill or performance. And it aims a lot for technical and engineers, not management . How fair it is

If it was offered to me, I would take the 9 months and run. Sadly not offered :(

If you are really getting 9 months for 30 years service, dont sign. Get a lawyer and make it right.

It use to be 1 mo for ever year, instead 30 yes gets you 9 months these days. Farley is a sociopath as ate the rest of his cohorts. Hopefully this will come to a sudden and sad ending for these bozos.
