Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Hide and Seek

Hotdesking is a horrible concept created to increase attrition.

Let’s embrace this and enjoy working here. Stop calling it Hotdesking and refer to it as

“Hide and Seek”

Have fun trying to find each other.

Never sit in same area twice.

Randomness and not having anyone find you scores the most points.

If a colleague cannot find you in 10 minutes, subtract point from them.

When the game gets too easy, wigs and disguises will be introduced.

Have fun kids….

It appears supervisors and management are all enjoying their long haul flights to India. They don't need to worry about hot desking because they now appear to be in a business class seat at 35000 feet, or presenting the EM propaganda in the Indian growth space!

When EM makes $59 billion profit and owns adequate office space, and is building palatial offices for Execs, implementing Hotdesking is victimizing the workforce.

Attrition in USA and moving all work to India is the goal of Hotdesking.

The HC10 countries will reduce headcount by 20% by the end of 2023 so there will be plenty of empty cubicles for the remaining employees to reserve every day.

No worries for those that remain in HC10 countries until next June when the headcount reduction layoffs start over.

Yep. One year in. Some are hide-and-seeking. And it is still hard to find the ones who don’t mean to be.

I also see the slackers plopping in a huddle room and working there all day, like it is their own private office. They don’t do good work and come in late, but living it up in makeshift private offices.

Dude you’re crazy to go the hot desking route. I’m WFH and no one has figured it out. Look, if you’re not in the office, you won’t get PIP’d as they forget about you. I’ve been WFH for three years now and been ranked VG.

Not seen or even heard a thing from them in months!

Last laugh will be on all of those who are attacking the person posting this... .when you fall into the 20% with a boot up your backside! The %20 of too few desks the intentionally planned for the %20 reduction of the bodies normally occupying them. Karma! Arrogance

I have been talking to many people at all levels of management. Not even one single person is convinced Hotdesking will be good for EM.

Absolute insult to every person victimized by this terrible concept.

With $59 billion in profit last year, this adoption of Hotdesking is illogical.

Who is pushing this? Is the person pushing Hotdesking going to also hotdesk?

Hotdesking no longer a funny topic.

Reality and misery setting in.

The Executives are having palatial affixes and separate fenced in reserved parking created for them while the workforce has their assigned desks taken away.

“Culture of Care”???????

Nope
