beyond that a few questions if anyone knows
1 is 401 k with holding/match applied to severance?
2 how long does it take to receive payout?

I wasn’t sure about the insurance part. It was long enough ago went I went off payroll that insurance was still free with T.
- No. Federal Social Security and Medicare taxes only. That's about 30%.
- Takes up to 45 days to receive. If you have direct deposit, it'll go there. If not, they'll mail you the check.
I’m not sure about the payout, but severance payments didn’t have 401K deductions when I went off payroll (before being hired on a year later).
