Ampere + ARM dealing more pain to Intel.

From the recent article: "The latest version of the database software can now be used on servers with chips from Ampere Computing, Oracle said Wednesday in a blog post. Customers can run the database on Oracle’s cloud service or on-premises servers with Ampere’s processors that use technology from UK-based Arm Ltd.

“We get more performance for dramatically less cost,” Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison said of Ampere’s processors, speaking via video at an event in Menlo Park, California, hosted by the chipmaker. “We have much better economics.”

Renee was d-mb enough to acquire McAfee... but smart enough to realize her mistake and jump ship for Ampere. C-

The McAfee deal could have made sense, if the virus/security SW components were properly integrated with the Intel platform/firmware, leading to a superior and "safer" security suite, and to a competitive advantage for Intel desktops/laptops.

Let's say that it did not quite pan out that way, and that is the real management f**k-up. It rests safely at Renee's feet.

McAfee would have made more sense if Intel was successful in the mobile space. Lots of advertising data to mine and monetize…

Renee doing the McAfee deal was a complete destruction of shareholder value and it is a huge negative mark against her.

Intel is .NOT. a software company and McAfee was a dead asset with many competitors offering free anti-virus.

She would have made a better CEO than BK

She single handedly put this company on a track with a bad mcafee acquisition and then started Intel competitor.
