Many years at firm, now have to relocate at my expense to either Dallas or Atlanta within next several months. I won't be doing so. I'll get 6 month severance. When I get termination notice I'll get 2 weeks notice, then off payroll. "The letter" gives all of the details for you, whenever you get yours. None of the info in mine shocked me. I've got a date deadline to give written answer, and date to be onsite at new location. I won't share them here because I have no need to appear on radar. I don't want to be hunted any more than I already am. Just call me treetop pilot, but my att plane now shot up and on fire, while I look for a soft landing spot somewhere. Good luck to all.

are these actual letters, i.e. in the US Mail? we just got emails today say squat really
If the date to be on site is longer then 6 months, then maybe say yes and then quit when the timeline approaches. You may get more $$ out of it that way.
I also received the choice of Dallas or Atlanta so that is true people are getting that in letters
This sounds bogus, don’t know anyone that got a letter that let them choose between Atlanta or Dallas. The letter said either one or the other.
Sounds like OP is Wave 1. I'm in Wave 2 and the only specific thing in my letter is my RTO date (9/5/23) and my new long term location (ATL). Everything else is very vague (i.e. location could change, severance may be allowed, etc.). Guess I'll learn more in 18+ months if I'm still around. BTW, I'm in ATS (Legg).
I won't share them here because I have no need to appear on radar.
If you're out the door just state the timelines.
Otherwise... Cool story bro.
2wks and your gone? You must have been really relevant!
Dobby is FREeeeee!
Wishing you good luck and success with your next role.
May I ask what the timeframe is to make a decision, then after that to get the termination letter? I want out ASAP but I want severance, and I want to know when to tell prospective employers my availability.
Thanks and all the best!
Treetop,
Wishing nothing but peace, prosperity, luck and a soft landing. Everything is going to be ok! You will sleep better as well.
Take heart that unless you wind up at Twitter, you'll be in a far better place by this time next year.
I know that sounds like someone gentle-talking to an addict, but trust me on this, I can vouch from personal experience that it is true.
Best of luck!
The good news today is, initial unemployment claims fell. So, the hot job market seems to be still intact.
Thank you for sharing. Best wishes to you. Hopefully it’s like many are saying… a blessing in disguise.
Good luck to you!
Best wishes Treetop :). You will be ok!
