Retiree & Z plan

My hubby got SIRPed but qualified as a retiree. He went to get a Z plan pin & his login didn’t work so he called NESC to get a pin & they told him that he longer had Z plan privileges. WTF? He’s a retiree! He had the privileges last year! Anyone else experience this?

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. NESC took care of it & yes he gets the Z plan as a retiree. Family still want to drive Ford so what are you going to do? The last Ford we bought was in 2019. Planning on driving our vehicles for many years. Not planning on getting anything new for along time!

NESC is not your path to resolution. You basically have to wait at least a month for all the data feeds to make it to the axz system. Sometimes it might be closer to two months if monthly feeds are used to update downstream systems.

Once that month is up go axz.ford.com be sure to delete all your cookies before visiting the site or it will keep forcing you down the path of an active employee (if you ever visited the site as active employee). Then click the retiree link and register for an account. It will ask you your last 4 of SSN, your ford hire date and then will let you pick a userid. From there you will navigate back to axz.ford.com and log in. Sometimes you have to wait awhile before things sync up and you can log in. A word of advice- don’t choose your old cdsid as your account userid, it ba--s the system up. Also it expires your password periodically and it takes the patience of job to reset it. It is a very clunky and error prone system.

I have found that you can pretty much negotiate the same or better price on vehicles and during the recent cray-cray pricing some dealers would not honor the Z plan pricing

I retired fall of '22 and tried to access my retiree Z-Plan to get a new car. It didn't work and it took NESC several months to even respond. I ended up putting money in my old car and am going to drive it as long as I can. Oh well.

He must have got the package documents, NESC wants the proof that he is eligible, the proof is in that package documents, he needs to send it to NESC and this will be taken care of.

My hubby filed for retirement years ago. We get the health benefit & he took his pension in a lump sum. He’s getting the Z plan for a family member. Think they may have lumped him in with those that didn’t qualify for retirement. Will have to call NESC again & get this figured out. Just wondering if anyone else had their Z plan benefit expire?

Whoever (salaried employees) had 30 years or was 55 yrs old with at least 10 years qualified for retirement benefits. Some who were in this situation eagerly (quietly) raised their hands (volunteered) last August and got SIRPED with severance and 9 months health care and pension options and retirement health spending stipend after that. Some were happy to do this as they were fed up with Ford and Farley.
Others who voluntary took retirement last November got retirement benefits but did not get severance or 9 months fully paid health care. This same group was fed up with Ford and Farley.

Why on earth would you spend your money on products from this company?

My family has driven nothing but Ford vehicles for past 50 years. And that’s where it stops, will never buy another Ford again nor will my family and if I can help at my friends. the way that they treated employees and retirees is disgraceful. I used to be proud to say I work at ford, now I’m embarrassed to say that I did.

Getting SIRP’ed and still trying to buy a Ford. SAD!

That happened to others as well, just call the help # on the ford plan page and they will generate a pin for you, and also correct the situation. There is often a disconnect between ford IT systems. There are batch file feeds from one system to another and the ingesting system sometimes gets indigestion

You have to actually file for retirement through the NESC, it's not automatic. It takes a few months to get thru all the hoops but if he officially retired, he will be eligible for Z plan.
