Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Who owns your ideas after being fired?

Say I invent a new toilet brush that revolutionizes toilet sanitation the world over. Who owns it, Ford? How long to they own all my ideas after they throw me to the curb? How do I find out for sure?

@lij is correct.

However, anything does not match exactly with what you had may not. Just follow the logic of an patent application to find out your game plan.

I had a patent issued that was going into production. Took severance last Aug and not a thing about the patent reward from Ford.

How are PC monitored?
Do they listen you with the PC mics?

This is what's confusing me too. Does signning the severance absolve all responsibility for Ford to track down all inventors of a patent.

No one owns what's in your head. Use that knowledge to get your next job. Ford has no ability to capture ideas let alone measure and capitalize on the best ones. PCs are monitored to identify your beliefs...ideas matter not to HR.

How do I verify that?

If it was an idea that you worked on with Ford resources at all (time or equiptment/PC), then Ford owns it. Forever.
