The salaries are way below market, most people I know get no stocks/ equity.
In addition, people are getting laid off every quarter.
How is this going to attract talent?

Not sure what point the OP is trying to make with this post. Ford has recently been attracting the best candidates from top high tech companies to our leadership teams. Doug Field, Roz Ho, Josh Halliburton. Need I go on?
Would any of these people have come to Ford if salary was below market or risk of layoffs?
My friend worked at Ford as an engineer and he didn’t do anything. Also told me the EV promises leadership made were far behind in reality. Sh-t company.
My area has some very talented people but it's mostly a legacy of previous hiring. Our salaries also are above market (at least from what I have seen applying elsewhere) so not sure we're in the same boat as OP.
@OP it depends on the department in Ford. Some have oodles of misused talent. Some are stuffed to the gills with do-nothing FnF. Some use to have talent but now have only space-wasters.
As @pcm says, "Don't be the last person left looking for a job cause those jobs that exist now, will have all been filled by your colleagues at other companies."
Or, don't be the last rat off of a sinking ship or you might find all the flotsam already occupied by extremely protective rats full of self-satisfaction.
Is this a joke?
There are a TON of extremely experienced and talented people at FMC right now. I felt I was in this category as well. Like a lot of others, I retired last year. Hopefully middle/upper management will let the talent do their job, I saw this shift last year. People were highly encouraged to be creative and bring world class solutions to the production environment. I hope this trend is continuing, although outsourcing contradicts these behaviors.
The train station will attract them, haven't you heard??

Just the fact that people are getting layoffs every quarter should give you a clue that the company is not doing well at all. It's time for you to bail if you have talent and skills. Don't be the last person left looking for a job cause those jobs that exist now, will have all been filled by your colleagues at other companies.
