Wrong, VZ has contested for VSP . NOT Rif. Two different things. VSP , V is voluntary.

Being someone as someone rif'd out of Tampa, you are denied unemployment. Your rif is viewed as being compensated. You are denied and don't know why the past two posts are saying otherwise when they do not live in FL. You will have to fight for unemployment, Verizon does contest your unemployment. You will be asked when filing if you were laid off. This State is a right to work State.

  2. Vz has never contested unemployment for a RIF, not even the VSP.

No, you will be denied. I was. They view the severance as you receiving unemployment. Verizon will and has contested it.

Unemployed benefits are governed by federal law which characterizes a VSP as a RIF, us law overrules state law
