Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Nothing to be surprised by

Charles Schwab is just like any other company. It will get everything they can from you and pat you on the back as they do that but then they'll stab you in the back without thinking by laying you off or forcing you back into the office. I don't see why so many are shocked by these developments.

"The hysteria over this is unbelievable. This doesn't affect me because I don't care, why isn't everyone else like me????" I live 15 minutes from work and I'm still annoyed dude. It's a pointless move that bones a huge number of competent workers who helped the company make one of the most profitable years in its history. It helps us in no readily observable way. I can't imagine most of the people making these blithe comments work at the company, you realize these people are your coworkers and that when they are gone your job is going to get harder right?

The hysteria over this is unbelievable. 3 days in + 1 week per quarter is about a 50/50 split. They’ve never said any form of RTO was off the table. It sucks, but I struggle to sympathize with people who moved hours away just assuming they’d never have to go in.

Can't wait for all these people to leave. Will be so much easier to find a parking spot in the garage. I'm so excited!

Wait, @pnp+1nmxMUX2 who was let go in April? Were they formal layoffs or “performance”?

WISH they would lay me off. I felt bad for our colleagues that were let go in April. Now I envy them.
