Cloud overall has been positive, but it's very very expensive. There is now a big push towards EKS to save costs. They are trying to save a lot on Datadog also. Concourse license will not be renewed beyond this year, so that's another small save.

The most expensive thing has been the time and effort spent by developers due to horrible pipelines and bad Concourse implementation. The CF team has kept too much control to themselves which is painful for teams.

Hey guys can you keep us in the loop I love this forum but need some context, I dont know who you are(Maybe i know). Who of you wrote code? Because depending on the squad is already a miracle, fired guy if you wrote code you should be promoted to principal and not fired...
Hey wait a minute... Maybe you guys are faking discussions here to distract the Fidelity leadership looking at this forum? Like few discussions over the forum trying to impersonate someone? ... Humnn, that will not work I suppose. Fidelity has acess to your browser cookies your mo--ns. Look at the list of who has access to the data.
I'm sure that you had time to read the privacy agreement, right?

Hey @1eix+1nnqlGhn - Car Wash what a great idea......... Tips!!!! and no more software developin' to worry 'bout.

FIDO was more than generous to me after so many years so at this point I can do Car washing, grocery bagging -or- nothing at all. All said - I have never gotten tips for working before ;) going to have to try that when I get tired of writing code thanks!!!

The "cloud" is merely someone else's computer which you now have no control over which ___in theory___ will save you trivial $$$ in the long run given the effort to get there compared to whatever savings you ___might___ realize. Why not just run VMWare locally instead ? (oh yeah that is simple and thus makes too much sense!!!)

In my new post Fido role there are no clouds only simple clear skies that I can forecast.

Wait until the bills come due and teams find they are locked in.
