Got my “letter” and it says everyone in the Dallas and Atlanta metro area have already been communicated to regarding their work designation and the rest of us will find out by the end of July. However, not a single person on my team in the Atlanta or Dallas area have heard a thing yet.

When I first started with Ameritech it was so different. I received a welcome basket at home the day before I started there with all kinds of goodies. Signing bonus and thousands for a training bonus each year. Lunch room stocked with free coffee and tea, etc.. It saddens me to see what this company has become. Why does everything have to boil down to money and politics? :(
Don’t ask your manager, they’ll mark your file - dossier negatively. This site will give the information needed through common knowledge. Word on the street is management will be reduced 15,000 this year as per Stankey. DEG craft employees in the SE will be surplussed 1st quarter due to lack of work and the reason will be referred to as economic. The most recent news will be posted here.

My manager was the first laid off. The backup manager and the AVP are both in vacation thru next week. We were told 6/30 for letters. Crickets …

Yo — if your are in the Paradise org you would know that our managers know nothing as recently as yesterday. Did not even know when or how the letters would be distributed. All we know is what was in the email from Paradise that was sent this AM. After stringing us ou to 6//30, now making most of us wait til the end of next month.

Unless you plan to be in the office 5 days a week, there shouldn’t be expectations of having an assigned seat. Stop being entitled.
Luong org sent out email as well, further communication will be provided for the people not assigned to Dallas or Atlanta. For those 2 sites, you are expected to start reporting July 10th. All others will be notified by July 31st.

Stop making inaccurate statements. If you made a minimal effort to look into this you woul know that work stations are being added to the reservation system.

Same here. Getting strung out to end of July before I find out my status. This is pathetic; playing games with peoples lives. And I didn't think my expectation of their "leadership" could sink any lower.
Yes it's 7-10, but letters hadn't come out yet. VPs were submitting plans for their folks and awaiting approval.
Hardly anyone will "get desks", it'll be mostly drop in and reservations...
