Well it's General Admission Seating, Dirty, and Loud. I think the Smashing Pumpkins Cover Band comes on next while I am on the phone with India Customer Care.

Top floor at S Akard, it is beautiful.
It resembles a California tent city.
" We have to use our own trash bags and empty the floor every week if not more."
NO, YOU DON'T.
I don't know why people can't seem to understand this.
Do not bring your own trash bags.
Let the trash pile up on the floor and attract rodents if necessary.
Tickets, rickets, tickets. Go home. Escalate.
Contact the municipalities board of health.
Do not work around these issues for RE. It is not your responsibility. If leadership wants you in that office, they need to provide the basic requirements.
Yeah, it's pretty basic and not very clean as others have mentioned, especially if you're not in one of the core hubs. CRE has pretty much given up everywhere else. At my location:
- Many of the fluorescent lamps in the drop ceiling fixtures are out. Constantly having to create Creative tickets for replacement because entire parts of the floor are dark
- Trash is only collected and taken out once a month due to current webphone headcount. We have to use our own trash bags and empty the floor every week if not more.
- Most of the carpet tiles are destroyed (I'm in an old SBC call center) and stained.
- The bathrooms are only being cleaned and stocked with TP and hand towels every 2 weeks (if even that)
It's not ideal, but it'll do I guess as long as the AC keeps working.
No phone, no lights, no motor car,
Not a single luxury
Like Robinson Crusoe
It's primitive as can be.
Filthy!!! No paper towels in restrooms, paint falling off walls, asbestos, every window in the building leaks, parking lot looks like a runway taken out by patriot missles, original 70s carpet that hasn’t been cleaned in years, all grass and landscaping is dead, pi-s stains that corroded the paint off of bathroom stalls, air filters that are black, horrible air quality, no security, etc…basically looks like an abandoned bldg with a bunch of losers inside.
"it's so loud with all these people shouting on Teams meetings"
They co-la-bo-rate. Let me say it again -they co-la-bo-rate. Nothing, what they can do as TWs. Or? Oops ...
The building I'm assigned to is actually pretty nice. Cleaned regularly and all stocked up with supplies I can bring home.
" No heat or AC, no telephone, no internet, no printer"
Then this office is not suitable for occupancy. No one should be working there. Open tickets on the issues. notify your supervisor, and leave.
" No toilet paper, no hamd soap, no paper towels. I go to the gas station across the street!"
If true (and it's probably not) , you should notify your direct supervisor, open a ticket on the issue and leave. Make sure anyone else assigned there is doing the same. Do not go back until it's resolved and the office amenities comply with the law.
You all should be pummeling RE with tickets on these issues at this places. Ignoring it and or/ working around them somehow is not going to help your cause.
Hold them accountable.
Chicago is a filthy dump
Even with 90% of the people not here our building maintenance tickets don’t get worked.
No heat or AC, no telephone, no internet, no printer. Basically just a couple of musty old store room buildings with some leftover desks and chairs from another era. There is a bathroom, a fridge and a microwave.
No toilet paper, no hamd soap, no paper towels. I go to the gas station across the street!
I'm in the Dallas office and they moved us from the 16th floor to the 15th floor because 16 was filling up so much. I definitely don't think there is enough room for all the people on the teams assigned to 15 to fit there and even now it's so loud with all these people shouting on Teams meetings with this open floorplan and no privacy.
