Hiring Freeze

Does anyone have any information on why it is so hard to open new positions in CCB? Is this per department and team or across the board? When will the restrictions be lifted? Is there anything that can be done to get a new req approved?

Certain departments are more adversely affected by tough market conditions. In AWM, I've seen on and off hiring freeze for as long as ai can remember.

Your managers know the answer to that question.

Hiring freezes in a location region happen occur when the head count budget is cut, there are plans to offshore jobs, or business strategy requires different staff skills and have not been approved. Sometimes shrewd managers hold back hiring to see if they can sustain the work/service with less staff.

If the freeze id for jobs moved overseas or out of the region the headcount budget is impacted. New justification must be made for new or additional headcount in the region cut. And that justification needs to be extremely defined and its need in the location needs also to be justified, (e.g. can't be done somewhere because of lack of experienced workforce, regulatory requirements, politics). Sometimes an area needs to specify time frame required in impacted location until it can be offshored or cut due to lack of need.

because all the jobs are going overseas so they will be the only ones getting the reqs and doing the hiring
