Your.position is eliminated. The decision is final.
A coworker asked the LL3 why is my position eliminated but all the numbskulls on the team positions not eliminated? Tact is not his strong suit LOL. The LL3 just repeated the first first line in this post. BTW his assessment of his team being filled with seat-warmers was correct. He was working unpaid OT to keep the team afloat.
Same line repeated to me a few hours later. I went for Thank you this is so awesome! Bonus money for me. Su-ks for those left behind trying to do all the work the seat-warmers can’t/won’t do. There will be another hiring spree after SHTF
Same script my LL4 read to me (since managers above me also got axed) in August. Guy I had a good relationship with for several years, read a script to me like an automaton. I hope his fate is never in my hands, turnabout is fair play.
Wow that’s a really cold way of saying ur fired. It was probably someone from another dept. I remember in 2019 when I was called into the directors office and they would tell me if I had a job or not. I left ford on my own (not going though the constant threats of losing my paycheck) but after that experience always have 6months of cash on hand, lower my debt load to zero, and always looking for a job even if I have one. No more thinking in false job security.
Good leaders left Ford. I had two opportunities at Ford to move to a different organization because of project cancellation. I remember Ford trying to accommodate engineers between orgs than simply laying them off just couple years back. With this kind of culture and poor pay this ain’t gonna survive.
How can they claim that your position is eliminated if they have job postings with the same description? I can’t comprehend why they didn’t let people move around or at least apply for these openings.
Same thing happened to me: got axed but see 3 positions open I could have moved to, but they wouldn’t evened me apply.
Your position is no longer available blah, blah, blah today is your last working day blah, blah, blah what’s your email so we can send the b.s. severance info blah, blah, blah.
This is what I remember. "Company is going through cost restructuring and your position is eliminated". It is hard for them to give me an honest reason. I am a software engineer and they made me HTHD (auto upgraded). I believe the company is "geared" towards becoming a tech company. And I've been contacted at least by three recruiters for W2 positions at Ford for the same employment profile since layoff!
They will never tell the truth. They are a bunch of gutless, greedy, cowards . Bottom line is they hate this country and want all of their workforce out of this country. Just look at what they’re doing, that is all you need to know.

Reason. Your position was eliminated. Which is a lie. It was transferred to Mexico or will be soon! Used to bleed Ford Blue. Not so much these days.
I wasnt muted but didnt ask either. How can we find out that info? Because their reason is obviously bs and made generic deliberately. They shouldnt be able to get away with that

They were just reading from a script, and probably had you on mute anyway.
I don't remember that well because of the shock, but they said something to do with my skills not meeting company needs.
I should have asked them for more detail because in no way were my skills not adequate for my position.
My lawyer will want to know.

It doesn't matter, there will be a short term bump in stock price and Fatley will get his MILLIONS and retire by the time Ford goes to chapter 7.
Jim Farley think you're a F** id--t and can get the work done cheaper in MX where he believes they're quality will surpass the US.
Oh and we're an EV company now even though we can't sell the things and are dropping our highest profit margin vehicles in the next few years including the highest selling trucks.
