Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

July is 'ESG month' to do good investing.

Environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) principles part of their decision-making mix.

For Verizon, the G in ESG is a lot of sense but when the E is in conflict with the S and the S is in conflict with the G, thus ESG as a colossal failure.

G: Pristinely paramount because Verizon needs a high-level of corporate governance being the objective set to the board-of-directors.

@kaj I'd bet more on a whitewashing of the language rather than a change in policy. It's too big a part of the controlled demolition. They won't abandon it.

ESG is total BS and about the theft of shareholder funds for social justice signaling by senior managers. Totally obscene. Even Larry the Fink who runs Blackrock is backing away from the obscenity to investing that ESG has become.
