As I started looking for a new job, it became clear to me that I am much less marketable than I thought.
Getting a better job will be difficult unless I do something about it. How to increase your marketability in a short time? Is there a way?

Use LinkedIn as intended and use your network to see what is available. Depending on your situation try targeting positions specifically. Talk to all recruiters/job hunters even the spammy ones they tend to have additional positions that are not necessarily listed. Your marketability really comes down to getting people to vouch for you and your abilities. This includes opening up opportunities as well as helping get your resume to the head of the line. So in short I hope you have been building up a network over the years or yes dang near impossible in the short term.
Learn something they looking for and its very hard. Usually offshore people can not dot it.
Have you asked yourself if you are woke enough?
This is a tough one. If you are still employed and not on a time schedule, I would recommend getting your advanced degree.

and study the market(s) you're interested in.
