It was pretty clear to me that DF is trying to position himself to be CEO when Farley gets shown the door. I can’t imagine the Ford family puts up with the deterioration of this company much longer. Putting out press releases to get media attention doesn’t work as well as putting out quality vehicles to get customers’’ attention.
DF didn't get along with Elon. So he took a leave and never returned. No idea what he actually delivered at Tesla. As for Apple, another mystery. He seems good at talking himself up and taking money. Maybe he should be in sales.
@uwj+1nra34E8. Who cares about DFs credentials. He has been useless to Ford - a complete waste of salary. The sooner he leaves and quits wasting our time with his poor leadership the better. Unfortunately, it is probably too late.
@uwj+1nra34E8 Everyone is quite well aware what DF CV states. There can be quite a bit of discrepancy between one’s CV and reality. And there is mounting evidence of the DF blow significantly surpassing the DF go. Shades of JF.
I doubt anyone posting in this forum has credentials like Doug Field. Read up on his background and see for yourself. There are good reasons that he is in charge of Ford's most crucial business unit.
The interview read like - I don’t really have a clue so I’m going to throw a bunch of things at the wall and hope one sticks. Oh and if I throw out technical terms and claim I am the genius who escaped Tesla and Apple then people will think that I am truly a genius.
US citizens should boycott Ford because they are traitors to the country that has kept them in business for years. Let them make it without the US market, tell all YOUR friends and family what Ford REALLY is.
Goodness what a nutter! A bear cam on a EV vehicle at a campsite to ho-k the ho-n if it sees a bear. 1) who in their right mind would be out in the wilderness with a EV? Are they bringing a gas powered generator to charge their EV? 2) If they are glamping in a campground, good way to make friends with a few hundred of your fellow glampers. Everyone knows the bears stroll through at night, they don’t need to be woken up at 2 am by a honking ho-n.
Hybrids are the sane approach.

Everyone who has spent anytime at all working on/with the Ford software controlling vehicles knows how buggy and spaghetti coding it is. Everyone who vocalized the facts / did the heavy lifting to attempt to fix the mess got laid off. Let’s just keep buffing the t-rd while the hucksters line their pockets
