Ford ADAS layoffs

How many people from ADAS department were laid off? And why? Is the strategy to outsource the ADAS projects to Latitude AI?

What do you guys think?

How is the morale in ADAS?

The management in ADAS is some of the worst at Ford. I do not know why they thought putting someone that signed off on DPS6 in charge of a high emphasis part of the company was a good idea.

Completely clueless direction. From what I understand they all made it out of layoffs intact unlike those doing actual work.

I lost my job in ADAS, how cruel is Ford and I trusted them more than two decades. Its absolutely not based on performance, just some ones selfishness related to Latitude AI. They dumped me and my family on to streets.

@F150guy most likely a function of your bonus percentage. People with lower bonus percentage on a team assumed to be lower performers (% not total bonus value).

Anyone has any idea on what startegy they implemented to layoff engineers from ADAS department? I was SG 8 with around 120k as the base and 3 years in ADAS.
Was it salary? Was it grade? Numbers of work exp?

Ex-ADAS gal here. I heard ADAS was hit pretty hard, but I don’t know what the numbers are. Ford is not being very forthcoming about how many jobs were cut & where.

If Ford had allowed people losing their jobs to transfer to other openings, they would have a whole bunch of grateful employees willing to go above and beyond AND they would be saying to potential new hires, "Ford really does care about its employees."
Fail. Fail. Fail.

I don't give a rat's patootie if Ford is successful at moving their workforce, manufacturing and supply base out of the country.

Doug Field is doing the right things and making the tough calls to keep Ford successful and then some. Anyone saying otherwise does not know what they're talking about.

ADAS is a four-letter word.

I think you'll be hearing more about many things being outsourced. I think it's the end play by Dougie Fresh.

ADAS cherry-pick two engineers off my team over a year ago. I had no say. Both were outstanding and both were laid off last week. I thought for sure one of them would quickly move up the ladder. Instead of transferring them back to BEV they are gone. Pathetic!

From what I have heard, 25% of adas was slashed.

Morale is low , doesn't make sense for rest of them to stay on.
