Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Excellent Move by Walt and EC

Walt and the EC have accepted their failures and will forgo any bonuses this year to ensure that the employee bonus pool will fund at 100%. Walt has also said that he believes in the future of the company so much that he is granting everyone stock options that are not revocable if you are laid off and vest immediately if you are. This is an awesome move. I am gaining some more trust

WOW, EC gave out stock options once 15 years ago. I guess we were wrong, they do care about the associate and not the bottomline.

Stock options were granted to all employees during the 2008/2009 housing crisis. Don’t sell the EC out. As much as any business can, they care. I don’t have a clue if they will do something again but it’s not unheard of.

This made me laugh out loud. There is no way Walt or the EC does that. They rather lay everyone off first.

If this were true but obviously isn't, I'd rather forfeit the stock and bonus IF I could continue WFH. That is worth more to me. HelI, I would take a pay cut in exchange for WFH. If they need to save money, they should have offered this as an option. I can't be the only one that would take a pay cut to continue WFH.
