Cuts for my area are planned for approx October. We were not impacted by this last round, so it appears timing may be different based on skill team etc.

As mentioned below it's wise to have your ducks in a row and all your personal affects removed from your office, so when the terminations begin you'll be ready. Historically what happens is once the Separation Lists are created the Exec VP approves same, and passes it on to his LL mgmt team for approval, who then review it and pass it along to the next level of mgmt for their approval. However, if one of those LL's names are on that Separation List, the List won't be distributed. Which is why my LL2 never told me I would be terminated .... because he never saw the list -- as his name was on that very same Separation List I was on. Thus neither of us saw it coming when we were terminated.

LL5's may not always know. It's the LL4+s that plan and execute.

If not 3rd QTR 23', you have 4th QTR23', followed by 1st QTR24', 2nd QTR24', 3rd QTR 24'and so on.....

This is "exactly" what management told us workers during several town halls. Let me mention that there is also a private-confidential town hall today, if you were lucky enough to get the invite.

Unless you are in Chennai, relocating to Brazil or work at the GTBS in Mexico, you need to start thinking and placing you and your family first. You are working at a company, without feelings, no emotions, no points for loyalty, who cares how much free OT you put in prior or what great achievement you had in the past. We are living in the "What Can You Do For Me Now" environment. If your not producing or DEI, better start adding some value to your resume to find a place where your hard work will be appreciated !

The majority of the salary work force at Ford is very conservative and vehemently opposed to unions. Ford will never see a unionized salary workforce. Even if unionizing could help these people, they would still vote against it.

It is true that no company owes you a job, just as you owe no company your business.

But…
If Ford wants to keep the unions out of its salaried workforce, it had better treat them with more decency. The engineering staff today is predominantly Indian and Chinese, and they are not as conservative.

@grn+1nsppT8s It is all fair in the game of business. It can be due to your constraints or you being a slacker all these years you didn't move on. If you feel that Ford owes you a job then you are living under a rock. Spitting hate is not good for your health and well being. If you are talented enough you will get a much better position

You should be ready for any day so that the date when it actually happens doesn't matter. Plan accordingly.

Ford is brutal to me. 23years of service and loyalty and dedication means NOTHING to them, they just dumped me and my family on to streets. I am so devastated and deeply hurt. Hope god is watching this cruelty.

You should always expect to be laid off with Ford. They never give notice and don't even acknowledge their actions internally afterwards. They're dishonest, merciless, cruel, ruthless, and have no decency. It doesn't bother them one bit to lay off thousands of people and then post those same jobs in Chennai or to lay off whole teams of people knowing they have other openings those employees could have easily transferred to. They just move on, su-king up to the media any chance they get. They don't know who you are, how you have adjusted every realm of your life to be able to give your best every single day to Ford, how much you contributed to build up your teammates and department, how proud you were at one time to work for them. So, yes, you should assume that on Sept 25th (or any time around that date), there will be more. Too many people have been told that to not give it credit.
