Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Jeremy Legg time to step up

Jeremy Legg it’s time to step up and make some positive change decisions. You’ve been here long enough you’re no longer the new guy. I am sure you now know all that is wrong with T. It’s not the employees or the locations they work from. We need true leaders that support true change all of your Peers have failed time and time again, will you be different? You are truly our last hope once JS retires. We need you as our CEO as this company will not last with McElfresh at the helm.

So, Legg comes from Brown University, a liberal arts school where he earned a BA in Political Science. No technical education whatsoever, no masters, no MBA, nothing beyond the BA in Political Science, that he will not even claim on LinkedIn. If you look at his experience, nothing in his background leads to being CTO of the largest telecommunications company in the US. His path through Turner Broadcasting, a Globalist aligned Woke Company that became part of Warner, as a EVP and CTO of a Media Company, led him to be positioned as CTO of AT&T, a major technology company, during the activist investor activity. From there the destruction of AT&T began. If you cannot see this as part of a larger agenda, you are not paying attention.

Neither (Jack)Legg or “McSelfish” are worth a hill of beans! They’re both complete overmatched, arrogant toadies who do indeed “drink the kool-aid”.

The only thing Legg does is organize "band contests". When it comes to standing up, he folds. Watch his last town hall and see how many things he said weren't going to happen did because of the Stink. When it comes to standing up, he doesn't do it.

Legg is the laughing stock at the company, nearly as bad as skankey. Both are arrogant sociopaths with zero positive accomplishments. AT&T has the worst corporate culture I have ever seen. No one respects the leadership and everyone hates this place. It is remarkable.

Organizations like T , basically a telecomm monopoly (along with TMO and VZ) , have too big a moat and will always be generating cash, so leadership will never be forced to change.

Legg might be a "nice guy" but ultimately he plays in the same sandbox as the other executives and won't rock the boat when their shared interests are at stake.

Is it really Legg’s fault? We all know a “square” peg does not fit in a round hole. Name one external hire or leader that was successful at T. Donovan tried and failed to break through as have all the others. The good old boy club only takes care of those in the “inner circle “ or those that have dirt on the executives… like Arnoldi.

Legg shouldn't be in his job...he has been here long enough with nothing to show for it...tell me had a direct impact on customers, employees and shareholders...he gets paid miilions so he will stick around....AT&T needs real leaders with the right experience.

... and exactly what can Legg do?

Look, until the current BoD either has their te------s descend or is replaced, Stink isn't going anywhere. And until/unless Stink is removed, nothing will change for the better at T. Oh, things can get much, much worse because Stink is a walking business disaster, but nothing will get better.

So just strap yourself in and hope for the best. Or better yet, leave now and enjoy the show from the balcony, like me.

You forget. ATT only promotes folks who drink the koolaid. Legg man, is no different. He is laughing all the way to the bank. He will be here another 15yrs. Another 15yrs of doing nothing. Well, nothing, other than biannual lay offs and reorgs
