Thread regarding Ford layoffs

There used to be passionate individuals working here

It is very likely that there aren't many more of them left here at all? Ever since my colleagues were laid off I just can't be as dedicated to work as I was before.

You feel exactly the way Ford wants you to feel. Replaceable in a heartbeat.

SRD really shook my image of the company. So many intelligent, talented people let go for 0 reason. Same thing with the layoffs last year. It's unfortunate and nonsensical that we are just floundering at this point.

That's the way I was in 2019. Up to that point I loved working for Ford and was very proud. But watching so many so close to full retirement get screwed over, I lost that. The next 3 years I did my job and well (made TA again). But I didn't have the passion anymore. I was no longer proud. It actually was a relief in August 2022 when I was laid off. Paid to go away. And then landed another job relatively quickly. And with a company that values me.

I don't think current management understands that words matter. Actions matter. You can't do and say what they've done and said the last two years without ki-ling employee passion.

We're still here. Focus on what you can control and don't sweat what you can't. If you're unhappy or unsure of your future at the Company start putting out feelers before the next round of "layoffs" hits. Good luck, signed a guy from PD.
