Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford's EV Future

"The organization predicted there will be advancements in EV battery technology but also noted a gasoline-powered F-150 can get 500 miles out of a full tank."

It must be the engineers' fault. Fire the usual suspects.

I get why Ford wants EVs. The owners of the oil producing countries are centillionaires (100 x billionaires). Some of them don't even have militaries (remember Kuwait?). That's because they know we are dependent on gas and will come to their aid. At the same time, I don't want to buy an EV until they are more reliable, the cost is more affordable, and plenty of charging stations.

@cgq the CEO of “canopy” has bragged that the lightning he ordered costs $100,000.

@hot+1ntFvQj8 - that must be for the basic price. I saw an invoice of $88,000 for a loaded lightning recently.

It's alway the payload.
Question 2:
Fordota or Toyorda?

"The vehicle’s original price announced in 2021 was $39,975, according to The Verge. Today, the price is $59,974, almost exactly $20,000 more than Ford initially promised."
