Whether we rely on ChatGPT or not, learning from our hire/layoff experiences is key. While AI may not possess emotions, it can provide valuable insights to help us secure our next job and recover from the challenges faced at Wells. By leveraging AI intelligently, we can gain the knowledge and guidance needed to navigate the job market successfully. Remember, utilizing AI requires intelligence and strategic thinking to make it work in our favor. Also, it is another way the poster can hide his identity.

Now what are the interview questions we should ask to our potential new employer?
Integrating the two lists, here is an updated comprehensive list of considerations for the job search:

  1. Investment in US Employees: Look for organizations that prioritize investing in their US employees for the long term. Inquire about their commitment to employee development, training programs, and leveraging technology to enhance the capabilities and skills of their workforce.
  1. Balancing Global Resources: Seek organizations that strike a balance between leveraging global resources and ensuring the well-being and effectiveness of their US employees. Inquire about their approach to global collaboration, how they manage diverse teams across different locations, and how they promote cross-cultural understanding.
  1. Collaboration and Communication: Ask potential employers about their strategies to facilitate effective collaboration and communication between US employees and global teams. Inquire about their channels for knowledge-sharing, best practices, and ensuring that all team members, regardless of location, can contribute their expertise.
  1. Leadership Accountability: Inquire about the leadership's accountability and their decision-making process regarding outsourcing, global resource allocation, and ethical practices. Ask about their vision for the workforce, how they balance short-term cost-cutting measures with long-term investments in talent, and how they address concerns raised by employees.
  1. Technology and Automation: Consider organizations that emphasize the use of technology and automation to enhance productivity and efficiency. Inquire about their technological capabilities, digital transformation initiatives, and how they leverage technology to complement and support their workforce.
  1. Organizational Stability and Change Management: Ask about the company's stability and their change management processes. Inquire about their approach to managing transitions, including the impact on employees, communication plans during organizational changes, and their commitment to transparency.
  1. Alignment with American Values: Seek organizations that align with your values regarding employment practices, investment in the American workforce, and ethical conduct. Inquire about their commitment to fair labor practices, diversity and inclusion, their stance on outsourcing, and their adherence to corporate social responsibility.
  1. Ethical Leadership and Organizational Values: Prioritize organizations that promote ethical leadership and have strong values in place. Inquire about their commitment to integrity, ethical decision-making, and creating an environment that fosters trust and respect.
  1. Psychological Safety: Seek organizations that prioritize psychological safety and employee well-being. Inquire about their policies and practices that support a healthy work environment, encourage open communication, and address concerns related to manipulative or toxic behaviors.
  1. Employee Development and Recognition: Look for organizations that value employee development and recognize contributions. Inquire about their performance evaluation processes, employee feedback mechanisms, and how they promote a culture of fairness, transparency, and growth.
  1. Corporate Governance and Selection Processes: Inquire about the organization's corporate governance practices and selection processes for leadership positions. Ask about their measures to identify and assess individuals' traits and behaviors before they ascend to positions of power, promoting ethical decision-making and responsible leadership.
  1. Collaborative and Team-Oriented Culture: Prioritize organizations that foster a collaborative and team-oriented culture. Inquire about their teamwork philosophy, how they promote cooperation, shared goals, and inclusive teamwork, and how they address behaviors that undermine collaboration.
  1. Employee Support Mechanisms: Ask potential employers about their support mechanisms for employees facing challenges or dealing with manipulative individuals. Inquire about their policies on conflict resolution, access to resources such as counseling or coaching, and channels for reporting concerns.
  1. Balancing Individual Ambition and Organizational Goals: Inquire about the company's approach to balancing individual ambition with organizational goals. Ask about their strategies to promote healthy competition, cooperation, and alignment with the organization's mission, values, and vision.

By incorporating AI insights and considering these key factors, you can make informed decisions in your job search, aligning yourself with organizations that prioritize employee growth, collaboration, ethics, and well-being.

I agree with @gac+1ntyD3c6. Many organizations SAY they have these attributes -- the reality is another matter. I bet even Wells say they have these attributes. That is why you have to research. One source of information is a site such as this, glasshouse, the H1B site etc. Another is asking pertinent questions such as Hey what is your ratio of American tech workers to Indian? Do you have contracts with Accenture?

Any organization can SAY it supports these attributes, but reality can be another matter.
