Thread regarding Ford layoffs

I've become jaded and am tired of pretending that I like being here.

I was bright and starry eyed when I first joined but seeing how low the morale is and how everyone is mentally checked out, seems like people are just biding their time until they find another job.

Im tired of pretending to my friends and family that everything is okay and that I like the work and environment.

I wasnt planning to start a job search again but I need to for my own sanity and mental health. I don't want to wait to get laid off, I want to leave on my own accord.

Good for you! You get what’s going on over there! Get out as soon as you can. Best of luck to you!

Stop sugar coating it and just say it out loud, these jobs su-k ! There are no more careers, these are jobs.

After the Jacques Nasser catastrophe, we miraculously found Alan Mulally who had the talent to get all the employees focused and working in unison, where most of them would do anything for this company. We had kick-a-s vehicles / quality and everyone was so proud to work here. Unfortunately, after his retirement, we were led down the mismanagement’s pathway of destruction, each one being worse than the one before.

The great wrecking ball of change swung ever so hard with managements incompetence at the once great empire Alan built, by names such as Fields, Hackett and Farley. Each one swinging with ever so much more destructive incompetence increasing with each swinger. We are left with the crumbles of the foundational bedrock and those are now being sent overseas with the executives hoping to make a profit ki-ling for themselves with the cheap labor overseas, the true slave laborers of our day. Coincidentally, the more greener the vehicle, the more greener the labor with children now mining by hand working 12 – 14 hours per day under grueling conditions to fulfill leaderships dreams of the treasure chest at the end of the rainbow of storm clouds.

The blame needs to be placed fully with the “Family”, they placed the executives into these roles having the special shareholder voting rights (each class-B share is worth 16 votes).

While the ink is still drying, our newest mantra labeled the "1-Ford Operating system", I am laser focused on the "Do Only What Matters" portion, but my current management has me doing all this silly non-value-added garbage and am essentially doing the job twice and sometimes three times over. Last year I would speak up and challenge my incompetent and overbearing LL6, but I am getting paid, so I'll just do the nonsense.

I have succumb to the system and concluded that I will do whatever my commanders want me to do. I do not want to be the cog in the gearbox.
