Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

PIP Update

How many poor souls were statically stomped on this week? Most of us feel for you and have enough common sense it could just as easily be any of us. For the disgusting individuals that are constantly telling people in here to just leave. Go slam your head in a door and maybe you can knock some compassionate thoughts into yourself. There are better ways to do this and you are likely drooling to get your turn beating some person down. It isn't necessary to shred a person dignity to get better results. performance

I simply do not understand the silly goose who doesn't realize that every thing you criticize here is Good for Business.
It is the very definition of Good for Business.

EM has no followers other than the shareholders, the people they bribe and the few silly geese on this board grousing about the albatross hanging underneath their turkey wattles.

ExxonMobil is not an American company. Nuff sed.

Not necessarily bit I did challenge him on truth and told him what is really going on with cheap India etc laborers. Do something da---t!!

It will get even better as we now have BTC taking manager positions in Houston, stand by for accelerating attrition and outsourcing of Jobs.
Yes this has happened look at the announcements …

Rather than offer a decent severance package and easily hitting reduced head count targets, Xom has chosen the path of grinding employees away which is cheaper in their mind

If ranking were truly based on performance, BTC would dominate the lower half, and the westerners reworking the bad deliverables from BTC would be on top constantly.

Spoiler alert- ranking not based on performance equally between BTC and the West.

Your forecast is too slow. Global Project's plan is to be 50% BTC by 2027.

But don't worry - we protect our BTC employees from being ranked against the Houston groups!

XOM does not PIP its wage/union/non-professional workforce (they have real skills). Only college grads (MPT and exec) get PIP. Cut the numbers in half since half of workforce is non-MPT...maybe 1500 pips globally and half leave. Nice cost reduction to allow bigger dividend, plus these people can be replaced by lower salary new hires in India. Work from India is the new norm. Eventually US and EU work force will be cut to be essentials (cut in half in a decade). EU is already down 80% by asset sales in N. Sea, Benelux, UK, Italy, Norway. Next we need to sell Germany (highest cost professionals in the circuit). The big unexpected consequence of cuts in US will be WHITE WOMEN. No they will be cut at the same rate as men...no longer protected, since proportions are now pretty good in US workforce. More brown/Asian Indian females will fill the roles of White women. For example, accounting which is mostly US/EU women can be moved to india or BA.

So you're saying the 'hot desk' setup is so we won't notice someone is no longer working here?

5% of 63,000 is 3,150 employees.
8% of 63,000 is 5,040 employees.
10% of 63,00 is 6,300 employees.

The answer is somewhere between 3,150 and 6,300 employees most of which are in the HC10 countries.

Just check the cube posts last week and for the next two months.

@ebc. Tell everyone except your supervisor you're planning to leave. Let him hear it through the grapevine for a week first. Then nonchalantly submit your resignation and quietly pack. Have a good laugh at your supervisor's expense on the way out.

I have always been assessed highly but I know it’s only a matter of time before they tank me for their brand new toy so I am ready to leave too. This company wants people to leave if you’re from HC10 so they can replace you with BTC. I am not going to watch my self worth erode.

@ebc if you do resign, send the email to your supervisor’s supervisor, managers, and DHs - everyone except your supervisor. Let them hear about it from everyone else so that when they are asked about it, they’ll have the deer in the headlights look showing how they are not doing their job.

I'm submitting my resignation the day I'm given my ranking.

It's my humble way to say fk you to my supervisor to whom I hate with every fiber of my soul.

I will let him do all the feedback BS and then go back to my desk and send the resignation email.

I'm savoring that day in anticipation.

Fk this place.

XTO proved a company could actually be fun to work for and still be super successful. That all changed for us when we we sold to XOM. It began slowly, but the stress and anxiety slowly crept in until one day it was dreadful just to go to work...and then it got so much worse. I decided to retire before the aggravation ki-led me.

OP. Seriously tho just leave. I'm not saying leave if you don't like it. I'm saying leave for yourself and your sanity.

Grass is greener bro!

Just check the LinkedIn posts for ExxonMobil employees. The number of "retirement' and "I'm leaving" announcements has increased exponentially in the last 10 days.
