It's funny you don't remember what happened in 2016. Is that because it's very unflattering to your precious union? Maybe it's just that the average union worker's brain is severely atrophied. I'd believe either. The reality is that union weakness was displayed front and center on national news. Very embarrassing.
I'd also like to remind you that not everyone posting here are of the male persuasion.

1CTE- I was working for VZ in 2016 and I'm still here. So are many of my coworkers. We didn't pay for anything with our jobs. I miss Lowell. He had a real opportunity to make us a stronger company until he was convinced to back down. I still get a little tingly thinking about him dominating the bloated beta boys in their red shirts.

Only fools watch corporate television news. Regardless of the channel or flavor, they are all controlled by the same companies that control Verizon. And Larry the Fink has as much leverage over Fox as he does over MSNBC and Verizon. That is a fact.
If you want to be informed, television is not where to find out. Only rubes and tools rely on television and Facebook.
@1xrf, @oxd was not blaming the unions for the mistakes leadership made.
They were saying the unions actively promote inefficiency. I have to agree. Just last week I visited a worksite where progress had stalled. It turned out that the guy responsible for performing the next step was out sick and they were waiting for him to get back to continue. When I asked why someone else couldn't do the job, I was told that he was the only one currently in that position (even though I saw three others on-site who did that job previously). We lost a whole week because of rules intended to cause slow downs.
If the union spent as much energy fulfilling their (empty) promise of top quality work as they do weaseling out of work, they'd almost be worth what they are paid.

Union members are masters of waste and obstruction. They demand compensation out of proportion to what they bring to the company (any company). They harbor and protect the lazy and the incompetent. Anyone who has had to work with them knows how inflexible and difficult they are. Projects with union presence take much longer than without. Furthermore, their continued membership is absolute proof of their gullibility. The union clearly only presents the facade of protection for their members. They do the minimum required to maintain their precious due units.
They are not the only reason we're where we are. They do have more than their fair share of the blame. It's a fact that we'd be far better off if Lowell had been allowed to break them in 2016.

The union is no asset for Verizon within the current telecommunication landscape. The union is just as much to blame. NO LAYOFF CLAUSE + pension, + retirement benefits.
you guys have alot of hate towards the union workers .Why? They didnt RIF you ,they were here before wireless was around.so why are you hating on them.They didnt cause the FALL of VZ,the upper management caused it so be mad at them.its was all corporate greed and nickel and diming the consumers and bussiness and not having a plan for the future ,so the other companies caught up and passed Vz and left them at the starting line.NOW vZ has no direction with all the Fool's running this place now.

There are laws in place. If they owe you money they legally have to pay you. Contact the Labor Board.
Verizon is losing so many customers to Optimum and Spectrum. And so is Tmobile. Recession is headed our way and it will last longer then usual. 2 yr vs 10 yr Yield curves are inverted for the past year. Read up on this and prepare your resume.
