Thank goodness for this plant. So many of us need jobs. Much of the engineer teams that were just let go should move to Marshall and start fresh in the plants. It's a hard life, but you'll enjoy working with your hands, and you'll feel a sense of pride at the end of the day. And one day your kids will follow in your footsteps and you'll feel more pride than you ever thought possible.
I haven't read the article link posted but the other day i saw part to the opposition is because the Plant is JV with a Chinese company. And in the companies paperwork the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) has to have reps there to keep the Chinese people working there in line. you can call it NIMBY all you want but if there is any truth to it I wouldn't want the CCP in my backyard either. Also the salary averages being reported keep going down that this plant will pay.
I hope they can prevent Ford from building in that place. Why spoil more lands, when there are plenty of old abandoned Ford structures around?
