Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

I received an external offer for $35k over my current pay

Comparable benefits but much better chance of progression. Need I even say I'm gone?

Congrats on better job!

Please recruit as many of us back at EM as possible!.

I know one guy that was obviously wrongfully PIP’d. That PIP’d guy got a job as a senior manager in a new company and has so far recruited more than 10 people from EM.

If all leavers did the same, EM would go downhill faster.

Congratulations! EM payscales have slid back far enough it's no problem to get an increase by switching companies. Never used to be like this. Oh well, enjoy!

Stay If you need the money for the two weeks noticie, if you do not need , just leave without notice. Either way, your friend is going to walk out from the building.

When you get settled there, recruit your buddies from EM to join that great company.

If enough leavers are recruited to leave EM then there will be less pressure to fire the EM people trying to get to retirement.
