2ghu+1nyHysUJ has it correct. I was challenged in similar fashion. I returned the challenge to have Slim Shady facilitate a course on how to do things his way so we may all succeed collectively. Conversation ended immediately and my truck tires were flattened a week later right in CLT garage. It's cut-throat and leadership likes it that way.

Don't worry, they'll make up for this with layoffs.

These practices have had a long history and are deeply embedded in the sales culture. Unfortunately, some of the worst perpetrators get promoted because their sales numbers are fantastic even though it's all smoke and mirrors. Honest workers have to work 100x more than the dishonest shady types. ("Why can't you be like Slim Shady, Honest Joe? Look at his numbers!") Worse yet, management promotes these grifters.

This company for years have excessively charged overdraft fees to low income people. I have witnessed many accounts charged over $300 in fees. They would also hit them with the extended overdraft fee if your account was in the negative for over 5 days. This company discriminates against low income customers because if you are high income earner you pay no fees which is considered preferred. SHAME ON YOU BRIAN MO--NYHAN !!

I'm just really shocked by this primarily because I don't work in a branch. We go through so many audits, fire drills, quality reviews for my role which is why I'm saddened things like this is still happening. I feel bad the employees who have to see this on a daily basis. I feel even worse for the customers.

They have insisted on using incentives for thievery and deceit for years. They do not regret doing it, only that they got caught. These continued penalties for harmful practices should lead to major turnover, but no one who matters will lose their jobs over this. Employee comp will be where the penalties are funded,
directly or indirectly. Mark it.

Every day this company post shlit on flagshlit to illustrate how good we are as a company. We are not a good company if we are ripping off our customer's with excessive overdraft fees and not honoring the bonuses on credit cards and opening bank accounts. I sat on so many calls with redemption center to get customers their money and they were turned down. I knew this would bite BOA in their azz sooner or later. This company is one big SHLITSTORM!!!

I work in retail also and have seen many customers ripped off for reward bonuses for credit cards and opening checking accounts. The customers did everything to receive the bonus but BOA always deceived them in some way not to get it. I feel embarrassed to be apart of this shlithole bank too. I am glad they were fine millions for this deceptive behavior.

I work in retail in the southeast for BOA for several years. I have personally witnessed many customers wacked with excessive overdraft fees. I always thought this was criminal and even tried to waive fees for them . When I did waived fees for them I was written up. This company really is a shlithole. The CEO should step his big azz head down for this shlit show he has displayed to our consumers .

Not being any better than Wells is a definite loss of self-esteem.

@ndp+1nyHysUJ - agree! Timing is everything. You know they had to have known this was coming for months.

And WHY do we are we COMPELLED to answer an Employee Survey EVERY D@MN YEAR when we answer the same each time?!?!?! I can already tell you what the '24 survey will say: "our processes are too slow", "I do not have enough input into decisions that impact my role", etc. etc.

Used to have an option to simply "Acknowledge" the survey without wasting our time filling out the whole thing, after our manager hounds us. Hardly informative when we are volun-told to do it.

And you KNOW this will be one of the excuses when they can't give us a raise and cut our bonus at year end. ("well, we had to pay the 9-figure fine b/c we were caught opening fake accounts to meet our own unreasonable goals..." blah blah blah

I have told you people repeatedly that this company is a shilthole and run by a bunch of incompetent morrons. Heads should roll because of them doing this to consumers. They made millions of these overdraft fees and increase their salaries but gave us pennies on ours. This whole thing stinks.

This is a major embarrassment. It is a shame the employee survey is closed.

250 million may sound like a daunting number to you and me but if you put it into perspective of a corporation the size of Bank of America it's about 3-4 days worth of earnings. Nevertheless, that kind of money is enough to give every employee a $1100 bonus. I hope whoever did this was fired, those kind of practices are unexcusable.

I'm familiar with some high ranking conversations. This is only what is publicly known at this point. The control model built out almost a decade ago is forming cracks.

Yes, employees will be footing so.e of this bill
