Landline layoffs are coming

Fiber Construction has no work now. 5g is not working out. Fios is also slow.

Its unfortunate...but it is coming. You would have to be a fool to think that they can turn this ship around. Although I like the appeal of the unions, and what they receive when they retire, and they provide the backbone for wireless, that expense alone with the poor leadership and bad decisions, the output is far more than the input, a 5G solution that is a complete bust...and customers leaving in droves...most are hanging on for a package of some sort. Some will have to find another position somewhere else since they may not be of the age to retire, some will pack it in. They are moving quite a bit to India...if you have not heard. The walls have been broken done and access opened for India to become an equal in supporting Verizon.

Eisp is coming confirmation by 4th level. If they don't get enough volunteers, layoffs will happen with reverse seniority.

EISP are done, confirmed by higher ups. They are just going to wait till people retire cause they are planning on getting rid of no layoff clause and want to play hard ball with contract in 2026

Local and Area Managers are scared sh*tless right now. That no layoff clause is gonna keep my ship a sailing, at least til the end of this contract anyway. Cant say the same for them.

I don’t know what you’re talking about, there is so much work, there’s not enough hours in the day.

I agree. New York is slow. Slowest I've ever seen it in my 28 years.
