It doesn’t get any more remote than India so what is the reason I can’t work remotely 3-4 days a week?
Now that the ranking season is over, I’m going to be PIP’d or have my contract renewed for another year. Either way, it won’t matter at this point.
If they try to fire me, I’ll claim discrimination where a non citizen Indian can work remotely but a minority can’t. Clearly discrimination.

It's simply because the cost of living in India is a lot cheaper than in good ole USA. Besides that, a bowl of rice with $tinky curry is not part of my dietary supplement.

Imagine if you worked from home 2AM to 10AM then 50% of your work had to be redone by higher paid people required to work in office. You would get paid very little and get to work from home because working off hours and productivity cr-p anyway.

An engineering degree from a University in India is a joke. The india government and education system is deliberately mass producing mediocre engineers so they can attract business like ExxonMobil.
I do not see USA students rushing to india to get an engineering degree.
On the contrary, wealthy Indian families send their kids oversees like USA or Canada to get an education.

We have much better Engineering schools and are infinitely more motivated to do a better job. We have a work ethic, Americans lost that. And, by the way, we are minorities also so there goes your discrimination claim.
