RTO in Dallas

and it's so funny. Musical chairs at it's finest. National Lampoon, WSJ get involved - ask questions, write articles - what's happening now has never been seen. It's musical desk & chair. Don't go to the water fountain or bathroom - you'll lose your work reservation.
I'm here sitting on the floor by a window writing this. Not sure what this gaming event this will accomplish but I'll play. OOPs. Gotta go, a woman couldn't sit anymore and is heading for the bathroom. Hope she enjoys sitting on the floor in that short skirt when she evacuates and returns. I'm sitting here until noon.

I’ve been RTO all week (the past 3 days), here’s my take
Positives:
yes it’s nice to see people I haven’t seen in a while.

They are trying their best to make the office more comfortable and fixing issues with equipment daily. So CRE is doing one heck of a job there turning the pile of cr-p into a chocolate pie.

The cons:
Having to reserve a seat daily and do the whole check-in thing is ridiculous. That’s fine for temp office workers, i.e. I come in 1 or 2 days a week at most. They need assigned desks so you know where to find people. For all sense and purpose most of us are FTO.

There aren’t enough seats or desks.

I’m told they are using AI sensors to monitor employees in the office. Where you go, what you’re saying, who you are talking to, and what you’re doing at all times.

I’m less productive at the office. That’s a fact. I can do my job better from home where I have better equipment and less disruptions.

It’s noisy and there isn’t the collaboration they are wanting. Everyone is still on Teams calls all day.

This is a total waste of time. I predict many teams will go back virtual at some point soon. This is going to be overall too costly for the company.

These chairs on wheels make it easy to take the chair with me into the bathroom so no one steals it.

“Gotta go, a woman couldn't sit anymore and is heading for the bathroom. Hope she enjoys sitting on the floor in that short skirt when she evacuates and returns. ”

I think that was me. I’ve been going in drag for RTO. Once I file that harassment lawsuit, they’ll ask me to work from home again. Gotta leverage the wokeness.

"This is a revolution and you're not part of it."

If this was a real revolution, we would have already had you and the rest of the corporate bozos up against the wall.

There will be another wsj article on this. Because at&t is widely despised and highly known. So the story will sell more paper, which is what wsj must do every day. The story will talk of effectively tenured targeting, given that more recent at&t hires are in core and hub sites. Leaving tenured boomers exposed disproportionally in wasteland sites on the hit list. Offshoring stats will be dumped by a whistle-blower as well. HR going to try to lock down data, but all it takes is a thumb drive or two in mail. 1st wsj then senate, just like the lead drop.

" All of this information is completely false. The Dallas office has plenty of room and the moral inside the building is getting better every day."

All of this information is completely false. The Dallas office has plenty of room and the moral inside the building is getting better every day. RTO is turning out better than any of us could of imagined. Those of you still sitting at home and sulking need to be let go. This is a revolution and you're not part of it.

'People now support and invest in companies with cultures that match with theirs.'

It's basically saying, you can dress something like a pig up any way you'd like, but it's still just what it is despite how we shine still a pig

Oh there is plenty to report. Put down that cup of Kool-Aid. Company image to the customers and investors is as important or more in the world today. People now support and invest in companies with cultures that match with theirs. Fact is the business needs have not changed at all only more of the same poor leadership. Reports love to share facts about big companies taking advantage of the powerless.

Talked with WSJ team this morning. They were not aware of the post we saw yesterday, however are very interested in investigating AT&T and their employee’s current experiences. They assured me they would keep our 40 min conversation anonymous. They told me they have received many emails and videos from employees over the last few weeks. The WSJ team is very interested in employees being mandated to move with no relocation support as well as AT&T offshoring positions currently filled by Americans. They also wanted to know if the tenured employees are being targeted.
