Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

RCSA: Is this where our careers will go to die?

Back in June, Santomassimo said that, "as attrition has slowed down, there could be some onetime expenses by the end of the year in terms of severance."

A lot of RCSA efforts will be finished by EOY. Will those of us working on RCSA be targets of layoffs after they're complete? First, management can insist that the business continued to run just fine without us. Second, the RCSA process generates thorough documentation, making it easier for us to be replaced by newer, cheaper resources.

Thoughts?

BAU will be a large effort. It doesn’t even exist sadly. Most RAUs will need a RCSA sized effort to reaffirm since we’ve been so negligent in planing.

It’s true RCSA is never complete. It’s something that should be done on an annual basis. We only have so many people working on it because we keep doing it for the first time over and over again. If the program ever reaches BAU status, then we won’t need as many people and yes those people will be offshore.

Unfortunately, THIS is 100% on point!!! This is the reason India and Philippines Control org and 2nd line are completely OVER staffed right now.

The 'tell' is how often they repeat that RCSA never really ends, it's a continuous process.

Guaranteed it means it's ending and everyone is getting canned. All we're doing is formalizing everything so groups on India can keep it going after they downsize all the domestic workers involved with it. They need you to set everything up so someone else can work with it in the future.

I'm also in RCSA and I think all of us should be mentally (and otherwise) prepared for a "thank you for your service. Now shove off" email when RCSA is complete.

my mgr is getting pulled into RCSA...he's acting as if he's soooo special!!! Crossing my fingers he's on his way out.....I know that sounds harsh but there's no need for middle mgrs as we've moved to Agile/Jira and now he only has 5 directs.
