Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Have been told Sept 11th, 12th and 13th are the days to watch out for layoffs instead of end of Sept.

My lord this is tiresome. Every. single. f**king. week. you spread this noise.
Look at the date and just sit back and think about it...9/11...really?
I guess the clock that's stopped is right twice a day. The interest rate for pension retirees has gone awry again. They'll sweeten the pot, top up a few years and encourage the very folks they want shot of that way.
ET has a 10% task for 2024 budget, some of the more...eager...managers are shooting for that now. It's not stealth by any means.
Post the name of the program, so those that know will know you're serious, or just stop posting (unless those +/-'s next to your post are the only validation you manage in this world)

I guess it is happening....my seniors have been staying off-site for few days without sick note or time off last week. We will see who they picked in Sept and who get to work few extra months at Ford.

There were surprise stealth layoffs (firings) this week in IT. Not huge numbers. Get accustomed to constant cuts. Death by a thousand cuts.

I do not know when the terminations are happening because of NDAs, but I know they are coming. A good guess is September because Ford historically likes to terminate their employees at the end of the 3rd quarter so they can book the restructuring costs into the 3rd quarter financials. Finance believes it lets JF and DF focus on positive talking points at year end and not answer messy questions about eliminating US employees for LLC unskilled employees. I wish we had a big salary union to join, I want to strike now for job U.S. security.
On a side note. I only have a few more years tell I can retire from this POS company. I am never going to recommended, buy, or let my family ever buy another Ford. I want Ford to be TERMINATED just like they want to terminate all of us.

I just watched the movie “The Coneheads”. I think Chris Farley pulled some strings and got his cousin Jim Farley the role of the cone head world king. You know, the guy that thought the co---m (con-d-mb) was chewing gum.

BEV plan is failing. Not selling now. Future projected volumes decreasing rapidly.

All areas affected, but PD will be decimated especially. Engineering and technical no longer needed in North America with the BEV business plan.

That may be true. It was the of Sept. Then rumors about end of August. So it's possible that the truth is right in the middle.

My guess is end is August but it always takes time for HR to get their s---- together.
