Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Initiation for Company Reset ?

It’s been posted on the board before, but the only thing in the near future that will reset the company direction is unfortunately a major incident…Valdez, Horizon, Texas City, Piper Alpha…... and they are throwing all the ingredients into the recipe for just such a gruel.

The directors have tried to separate themselves from any responsibility with OIMS so the can blame anything on individuals. Not sure how BTC and KLTC kindergarteners would fall under US law….. ?

Simple. Unionize and perform a general strike with the plant operators. XOM execs would capitulate faster than UPS.

But we have LPSA cards. You just follow the steps. It's all you have to do. Nothing can go wrong if you just pull the card out.

@1kyi Fox News says it’s all the “woke”Zoomers who kept the 1980s from coming back, so it must be true, right?

It's the old people who have advanced degrees from elete colleages that cause all the harm. Not all of it be a lot of it.

@1jzm+1o1mQwr2 This needs to happen!! Out of India! Supporters of Russia are not who American businesses should do business with period!

A laughable reset would be if the USA imposed sanctions on India for its support of Russia by buying Russian Oil and selling Russia military equipment.

Instant exit from India.

Darren needs to make up a fake personal or family crisis and resign.

EM needs true oilfield leadership and not an Electrical Engineer CEO and former alcohol distiller CFO that pretend to know and care about producing oil, gas, fuel, and chemicals.

@frq, I haven’t been on this site in a while but it looks like you are still going strong blaming the wrong people and willfully misrepresenting those who see the flaws in hot decking. If I didn’t know better, I’d swear you were one of my previous, woefully inept, supervisors.

You are the reason this company needs a reset, because people like you are incapable of understanding how wrong they are.

@cmv ... Why all of sudden you brought up older white people ... Nobody said anything until you brought it up. Many white male coworkers have no victim mentality like you implied here. Great coworkers no matter their race and ethnicity.

@bvk The same can be said for the majority of senior employees, most of whom checked-out and stopped doing their best work years ago.

Darren is 58 ... we need 7 more years and he should retire. That will bring some change I would hope.

You peopl? wow. I’m so glad I don’t work for you. What kind of supervisor cones to a layoff site to pick fights, bash older folks and ,whites? This right here is the reason why good people are leaving and the company is going downhill. Something is very wrong with you and I hope that xom finds out who you are quickly which btw is quite obvious and gives your employees a break.

@ftq My comments are about the company as a whole not just the Spring Campus. Have you not seen the proliferation of BTC/KLTC Mickey Mouse Engineers being forced onto sites around the global on basically revolving 2 year assignments or whatever the maximum their visas will allow. They are essentially your low cost work force of the future.

IMO this greatly increases the risks of a major incident. The kind that gets national and international headlines.

@OP So you don’t think any of the recent incidents counts as “major”?

It’s not just Exxon either. Keep in mind that people risk being burned alive on a daily basis while you’re whining about how hot-desking supposedly violates your human rights.

You people are a joke. The punchline is that most of you truly believe that you’re great at what you do and are indispensable to the company and the economy at large. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The MSPs would turn off all communications and move to China if XOM/US Govt came to them to cover liability for such an incident...
