Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

More trouble for AT&T

First time in history that T-Mo has reported a lower churn rate than AT&T. No way around this potential problem other than investment in network and pricing. Bummer for the big boys.

“AT&T’s churn rate was 0.79% in the recent quarter. This was 4 basis points higher than in the year-ago quarter and 10 basis points higher than 2Q21. At the same time, T-Mobile reported churn rate of 0.77% beating AT&T for the first time in history. This could be a start of a long-term trend, as T-Mobile has already won the perception battle in network coverage. T-Mobile is also investing aggressively in plan pricing to retain the customers it has added.”

Reading comprehension is important. I'm sorry you struggle.

Nowhere did anyone say to act rash and freak out, as you suggest. The article very clearly states (and multiple times) that this is the first time in history this has happened and will be a problem if it becomes a trend (along with pricing).

Also provides a great deal of supporting data and analysis -- but let me listen to your thoughtless, uninformed, likely pickled opinion instead.

Churn rate and customer service is inversely proportional. As service reps are allowed to not do there job, churn rate increases. The additional management surplus will help decrease churn and stock will hopefully recover.

Meanwhile through all this, we are giving Accenture crazy amounts of money to build/fox systems that no exec is overseeing to ensure our costly endeavors have an Roi.
When I see what we’re paying, I have to ask, who is in charge of systems at this company?

Maybe Supply Chain can take a look at what we’re paying and see that the groups are all over and in orgs where leaders are working on other initiatives/not system leaders. Crazy.

Stankey and a lot of the Top Leadership must go...what more evidence does the Board need?

TMo is cleaning AT&T's clock, lower churn, tons more subs each quarter, better and more 5G coverage...and a stock that actually rewards shareholders. On every important measure they are out-performing AT&T...and ironlically, most of AT&T leadership remains silent, as if they live in caves....but they do tell us to "live our designation!?!?"

“ Tmobile has a lower churn rate bc of their free lines but sh----r arpu do your homework re--rd”

Another under educated, classless T employee response. No wonder consumers and wall street can’t stand T with people like you bubbling to the surface.

It just goes to show what a commodity it has all become. I have a low price plan through Patriot Mobile on a T-Mo SIM. When I started out, my coverage was meh. Now, I get as good, if not better coverage as an ATT SIM at the lower price. T has downward pressure placed on them, as always. T’s biggest mistakes are that they are always late to the game, their customer service su-ks, and they want to give the perception they are a premium service, and they aren’t. A premium service is white glove and effortless.

I'm sorry if their ARPU isn't high enough for you. The lower price and faster network have helped me convince dozens of people to make the switch though. After ATT started it's crazy surplus initiative, I decided to help people surplus their ATT services.
