Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

I could not wait to see if I would be on the September Riff list. I just quit!!

I wish I had found this board and posts like this before I accepted the job.
My experience has been absolutley the same.
The lack of professionalism on every front is depressing, I actually can not do my job properly because of it. I hate it here.

@2lym+1o6I9TEf I hear you, not just engineering but design has fallen off the cliff too. Recently I get these fancy product renderings but real cr@p design underneath and I am not joking when I tell you my teenager and his peers produce the same level at high school if not better, the render software is so simple now! I have given up with the UI guys too, they get paid so much yet still don't get how our products work. 7-8 years back these teams were solid. I don't want to move back to the west coast but that is where I am getting offers and I certainly can't work here another year.

In the last few years I have recieved CAD files from our engineering teams that I thought were practical jokes. We are talking true beginner level CAD, not that of a degree educated engineer from a global engineering corporation......I mean almost child like.
I would cry with embarrasment if these files reached our suppliers, I can only vet what comes through me so can only imagine what gets released. Man, its bad, like REAL bad!

Yeah, V(ic)K is amongst them. Pretends to be a know-it-all. What is baffling is that sycophancy reigns in this company...you're out if you are not su-king up. I wonder why the legal team is not investigating all the sh-t that VK and cronies are up to. Dump the stock and invest in something that is real!

Well I proudly saved a soul today!! My friend knew one someone who had been offered a job at Honeywell and wanted me to speak to them. One hour later and the guy was thanking me, he got it, he sensed something was off. The furlough abuse shocked the heck out of him.

You are right about the Allied Signal Board, DC tried but he was handcuffed by them, remember they would not let him see the financials when he became CEO.
Then what the heck were they thinking with DA and now VK........ something stinks.

This company treats people like a bunch of cattle in fact they are “heads”. I got shown the door after 41 years of loyal service. HR was no help - just a bunch of cronies executing what a bunch of selfish and incompetent so called leaders tell them to do.

While emotionally draining at the time, getting canned resulted in a new career for me where the dynamics are the exact opposite. Respect, integrity are values I witness every day now.

VK has a huge challenge ahead. I hope he can do it. Remember - what you have today did not start with DA but instead with those that came from Allied - those GE disciples. Look at what happened there. Good luck VK.

Honeywell was actually really incredible for me until about 2017 then it suddenly nosedived and went completely off the rails around 2019 to the sh1tshow we have today.
To me it could not be clearer, everything went wrong when DA took over, like really wrong.
It surprises me this is not discussed more, you could feel the timeline of decline.
Every single quarter for the last 5 years you can tangibly see and feel everything getting worse. And then VK, that is the death knell guys, sorry.

We try to warn everybody, but you have to stop by here before you interview and believe what are saying.

Personally, I did look here before interviewing but the only people who identified themselves were from Aero and the job I was considering was in a different SBG, so I assumed the problems were only in Aero. Ha! I knew I'd made a huge mistake by the end of the first hour of my first day.

This is why they allow management to constantly move between jobs with the hopes of doing little damage until they retire. HW does not understand you need to understand the functions for which you are managing. How is a manager supposed to meaningfully manage and direct a team which they know nothing about?

Plenty of hop-toads still willing to jig to their tune, to prop them up and sweat it out for their amusement.
