Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Houston GBC

Houston personnel have been treated like another "global business center" over the past couple of years. KM and TG only viewed the staff as high cost and have fine everything possible to remove or reduce them. Now that "Dallas" is also sitting in the "economy class" in Houston, aren't they subject to the same cost analysis? Why can't the President of EMTEC be based in India and paid 1/5 the cost of the current one? As shareholders, let's ensure Management is fully committed to the Hunger Games they started.
PS. I've been watching the Dallas people eat the substandard EMHC food; it is satisfying to watch them cringe everyday. Now they experience cost savings first hand and get to support the Houston economy that they thought was beneath them! Hahaha

So if none of the executives are replaced by a low cost SCAB, it is proof and blatant DISCRIMINATION Against all of the rest of the HC -HUGHER SKILLED AMERICAN EMPLOYEE'S. BLATANT and Obvious no matter what the gaslight story they try to push!. Good for us, then it is good for them too. Oh wait! That is EQUALITY and that isn't part of the culture but it is still on the books!

The Dallas execs have their own personal chef they are not eating with the unwashed masses. There is a completely separate set of rules/budget for them.

@OP This is exactly the top-town/right-wing capitalism that most of you have spent your adult lives supporting and enabling. Some of you have made the connection, most are in denial.

Spring campus was such a bad idea and how many jobs could have been saved without this little group touring 100 campuses to try to turn it into Google. What a joke.

EMHC is gold plated compared to a 100 year old windowless control center where there’s 50 years of dust on the keyboards

It's workplace to do a job for shareholders.

I've been based in Dallas for many years and honestly, I see no reason to be in Houston. EMHC is a big property, but terrible work environment to focus. I appreciate the site folks and their challenges, but if Mgmt expects quality work, then they need to give everyone the space and quiet to contribute. And don't let the comment about food distract you... It's really about how mgmt is treating everyone like worker bees or peasants that can be outsourced or replaced by commodity labor.

My dude has a fkn Chick Fil A within walking distance and is out here saying EMHC food is substandard. You have no clue what is available at the sites my friend. You're spoiled as he-l for choice at EMHC.

If you think you have it bad in EMHC, you should try working at a site. Or outside of America.

The crazy Dallas drivers are breaking the gates so they're sending out noticed to the entire campus. How about training the new Dallas people or buy scanning equipment that works (versus low bid)?! Love seeing Dallas feel the pains of waiting in line now... Hahahaha
