Maybe if Wells didn’t get hundreds of millions and Billon dollar fines all the time for it’s illegal activities they could donate more.

@rmc+1 True, but then why boast about it? If you are going to brag, give more money. Otherwise, quietly donate and just take the deduction with your mouth shut.
How/why is Wells Fargo (or any business) obligated to send money?
Also, what will the money be used for, who dishes it out and makes sure it's being used properly, etc.
Throwing money at a problem might make you feel good, but it doesn't necessarily do any good.
They have to save money to pay fines - duh !
