Why was the rumored July LR date accurate, and today's (Aug 16th) not?

Just heard that LRs start soon and end later.

It's one thing to do quarterly layoffs, it's quite another to do monthly layoffs. Saying the layoffs in July weren't cost related just before the predicted yet unrealized apocalyptic quarterly results would not fly. The idea of a massive August layoff never made sense.

Cisco has been on a tear lately with quiet layoffs. It’s just the beginning, it’s going to get worse soon.

There’s always rumors of layoffs with the quarterly financial updates. I know there will be a reorg in collab in the next couple of months but I haven’t heard about any layoffs.

We have rumors for every month of the year. That makes some rumors accurate.
